Removing 25+ docs in a single commit before HN launch creates a worse signal than leaving them (git history reveals the scrub, LLM-augmented archaeology constructs intent narrative). Mass cleanup deferred to gradual, organic post-launch maintenance. Only explicitly toxic files (portfolio.md, hn-launch-plan.md) removed pre-launch — Captain has already done this.
