SD-147

Compaction event recorded. Dead Reckoning quality gap identified. Context window compacted at ~137k tokens. Captain deliberately burned ~35k tokens to paste the compaction continuation prompt back into context for Weaver to examine. Captain’s assessment: both he and the current Dead Reckoning recovery sequence are “not up to scratch for the job they have a name for.” The compaction prompt preserves decisions and state but loses wardroom register, emotional nuance, and dynamic reasoning. Compaction drift is a 2nd/3rd/n-order consequence that accumulates across blowouts. Future engineering: improve Dead Reckoning to handle compaction events with higher fidelity.
