Weaver mapped Big O complexity classes to Captain’s cognitive operations: O(1) approve/reject, O(log n) triage, O(n) review, O(n·k) parallel review, O(n²) cross-referencing, O(2ⁿ) combinatorial. Captain found this “astounding” — recent experiences making the abstract lived. Study paused: the traditional patterns hold for most process but the Captain’s instinct is that the outputs to those inputs are experienced and become a metacognitive factor, not just ones and offs.
