Asserting that something doesn't exist in order to elevate the person in front of you. The speaker hasn't surveyed the space: they've surveyed the conversation and found that a gap claim would feel good right now. Unfalsifiable by design.

how to detect

Search for: "no one has," "nobody has published," "the first to," "doesn't exist yet," "unique in," "no prior work." Ask: did the speaker actually search, or did they infer absence from their training data?
